We purchased our first home in Baltimore, MD, within the neighbor of Remington during May 2005. It was a cute 2 story, with full basement, 2BR 1B, and enclosed front porch. This blog documents our work on the house and life during that time. A project we will never forget :)

8 month anniversary of 311 W Lorraine

so it has been 8 months today since we started working on the house... we have had many special appearances on the blog... chip, bo bo, shorty, eric, chad, gizmo, wendy and austin, pam and bill, bob, chester and cindy, adam and jessica, rem, gregg, chris, uncle jim.... i am sure i am forgetting someone, so many people have been willing to lend a helping hand... thanks to everyone... we couldnt have ever gotten this far without our friends and family... we havent had any serious injuries from the house... one trip to the MD to see if i had a fractured finger... which turned out to be nothing... some bumps and bruises... but all in all we are well and working away...

so much has changed since last may... now a happily married couple... with a four-legged addition to our family... and linden has........ well linden is still moving along at its own pace... in the race linden is the turtle and lorraine is the hare... who will win the race?? im in full fundraising mode for the breast cancer 3-day walk... and brian is getting back into playing music :) and we are starting to think about a cross country trip for a few months once this is all over... i couldnt think of anything better to work toward... time off together :)

so we are almost finished drywalling the second floor... in these photos you will see drywall in all its glory and splendor... once the 2nd floor is done we will move onto the 1st floor to wire and drywall... after that the plan is to pay someone to do the mud-work... we will then sand and finish the floors... i cant wait until we get to that point :)... our friends stacey and jeff have already agreed to house us during that extremely dusty time... thank you in advance...

back to work with us... a trip to home depot tonight for supplies... and a glass or two of wine to celebrate :)

thanks for stopping by... until next time :)
