Starting to pick up again... June, 9th

We had to make the insurance company happy and put a handrail on the front steps. Last night we finished reinforcing the last joist, Beth cleaned up the front porch and brought over some plants to make it feel more like home... and it did !! We installed the handrail on the front steps.

Yesterday we had the HVAC guy come over with his duct sub-contractor and discuss our project... He should be starting next week. He wouldn't go for anything less than 5500, but we feel OK with this as we trust them more than other HVAC we had over, and our other quote was for 6200.

Now we have to support the stairs, do some shimming work under floors to eliminate squeaking and bounce, then off to tackle the framing tasks... the first wall will be the shower wall under the skylight.. this work will be coordinated with putting down the bathroom subfloor..
