Finish work...
We have done some finish work out back in order to try and get some insulation up on the back wall on the first floor (kitchen). Worked on the kitchen window, back door step, basement door, and basement window... you could put your whole hand under the basement door so we decided to fill the area in front of it with concrete and throw in some tiles we snagged from an abondon collapsed house in Reservoir Hill.
After much debate about the roof and getting quotes for removal of the old roof and getting a totally new roof, we, or I, decided to just coat the roof. I accomplished this in about 4 hrs with four (5 gallon) containers of fibered ashphalt roof coating.. Used a small push broom type thing for the small areas and cracks I wanted to work the material into, and used a big push broom for the main surface areas... The whole thing cost about 100$ For two years of assurance and saving 4K in cost, it was well worth it...
pictures to come...
